2017 the year of the happiness project
2017 is the year of my Happiness Project. Inspired by Gretchen Rubin’s book The Happiness Project and a constant questioning of how happy am I? What does happiness look like for me? Teamed with a realisation that happiness isn’t just something that happens to us. It’s something we do have some control over. I am spending 12 months focusing on different areas of my life in an attempt to make myself as happy as I can be. You can read more about starting my happiness project here.
2019 note: you can find the Happiness Project blog posts here.
My Happiness Project commandments
I have created a set of commandments. These are the guidelines I want to live my life by this year. They are.
Invest wisely (time, money, resources)
Be yourself and know yourself
Kindness
Do it now
One thing at a time
Acceptance
Acknowledge your limits and when to push them
Identify the problem, and if a solution isn’t forthcoming look at it from a different angle
Remember you are in control (of your schedule, your time, your actions)
Don’t try to do it all yourself. Find joy in the skills of others.
Have confidence
Trust the universe
